About Fusion

Fusion Capital was founded in 2006 as a partnership between British and Kenyan business executives, and today has a well-constituted and experienced operations team in Kenya, as well as a strong support organisation and network in Europe.

Chairman, Phil Goodwin, explains the motivation for establishing Fusion Capital: "History demonstrates that a flourishing, responsible and well regulated private sector, built upon a broad base of SMEs, is crucial in providing the long term and sustainable growth needed to lift nations out of poverty. By offering a solution to one of the key problems of the SME market in the East Africa region, Fusion Capital has the opportunity to significantly contribute to economic development through sustainable, effective and locally driven means. At the same time, we strongly believe in profit. Fusion aims to be a highly profitable commercial business – and we encourage all of our clients to do the same. Development and profit walk together as friends."

Fusion quickly achieved good financial results, and was expanded in the following years. Today, Fusion is a financially strong institution, exclusively focused on understanding and meeting the specialist financial needs of SMEs. As well as investing through its own balance sheet, Fusion is the appointed manager for FUSION AFRICAN ACCESS LP, a private equity-style fund investing in East Africa.
