Phil Goodwin is the co-founder and Chairman of Fusion Capital Limited. As Chairman, he is responsible for corporate governance, overall strategy, and investor relations. Phil has over two decades of experience in the Private Equity sector in Europe. He worked with 3i, HSBC and most recently with Montagu Private Equity, where he headed the UK business, which had over £3 billion under management.

Luke is the co-founder and CEO of Fusion Capital Limited. As CEO, Luke is responsible for overall operational and organisational management, business growth, investment and loan policy. Luke has over 20 years of hands on experience in promoting the Microfinance and SME sector in Kenya. He served as the Country Director of the Ecumenical Church Loan Fund (ECLOF-Kenya) a Switzerland based Social Fund, and later as a Small Enterprise Specialist with African Medical Research Foundation (AMREF). He also established Riziki Kenya; a charity specializing in Community Development.

Mr. Malai is a seasoned banker with 28 years of experience in a variety of senior management functions, with ABN AMRO, Indosuez, Kenya Commercial Bank and the National Bank of Commerce. Since 2002, he has employed his financial skills to the field of microfinance. Mr Malai has significant experience as team leader on numerous projects, including complex, multi-functional teams, and his accomplishments include transformation, turnaround and merger of financial institutions. Mr. Malai operates as international microfinance consultant and is currently on a consultancy mission in Lagos Nigeria.

Dr. James J. Mageria is a well-known and respected personality both in the public and private sectors in Kenya. As head of American Express Kenya, he gained valuable insight into the governance of financial institutions. He has provided leadership and governance to various humanitarian and social institution including Vision Africa, World Vision International, Prison Fellowship International, and Daystar University. Currently Dr. Mageria is the Chairman and Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Karen Hospital, one of the most modern hospitals in the region. He joined Fusion Capital as a non executive Director in 2009.

Mr. Kimathi is the Founder and Executive Director of Intrepid Africa Limited which specializes in corporate finance consultancy. He consults in a variety of fields including organizational establishment, microfinance, private equity, telecommunications law and intellectual property law. He has previously worked as Fund Manager at Baraka Africa Fund and as a Legal Associate at Mboya & Wangong’u Advocates. Mr. Kimathi is a graduate of the University of Nairobi, School of Law and is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya having been called to the bar in 2007. He is also a member of the Kenya Christian Lawyers Fellowship where he serves as its national secretary. Mr. Kimathi joined the Board of Fusion Capital in September 2009 as a non executive director.
